On Friday it gave me great pleasure to present Margaret Dode-Angel with a cheque for £4,522.78 for Sussex Support Services which provides day activities for older people in Uckfield.
Margaret said "It has meant so much to our small organisation and has enabled us to do so much and carry on! With match funding through the crowdfunding of some of the events the money has gone even further to support the continuation of the service into the future through this challenging time.
We have been able to provide Christmas lunch and a party for the past two years with the money raised and put on extra entertainment for the service users. We have bought a bean to cup coffee machine for the service users to enjoy tasty coffee and foamy hot chocolates which they are loving!
Thank you to all the staff at Dawson Hart and all those who helped raise this incredible amount of money, especially during a pandemic."
